Reducing the crown of a tree includes shortening of all the branches, reducing the tree as a whole. Our team will work using best practices, pruning to the nearest node or growth point on the tree conforming to (British standards) Bs3998 where possible, leaving the tree as symmetrical and balanced as reasonably possible depending on the lean and health of the tree.
Crown thinning is a form of selective pruning, this includes reducing the number of smaller branches, including crossing and deformed branches. Some of the benefits can be but not limited to, increased passive sunlight through the crown, along with better airflow through the crown which are both health benefits. Our team can guide you through the best possible outcome for your requirements when cutting/trimming trees.
